Born in 2001 , The SPEEDOMETERS follow the tradition of the 60's "Power Trio".

Influenced by the UK counter culture scene, the punk revival, some rythm and blues and also by the the 1979 Franck Roddam's "Quadrophenia" movie (based on the Who's 1973 rock opera), The SPEEDOMETERS (wich means odometer) will bring you back in the "mods' " era.

The band recorded his first 2 tracks EP back in 2003 with the help from Stephane "Duck" Gilet (Summer Factory) at the Studio Polaire in Bordeaux (France) under the label Panx.

In 2006, The SPEEDOMETERS collaborates with Renaldo Gournier on it's first album but will have to wait an encounter with François Berchenko ( musiquesmodernes.net ) and Jean-Bernard Bassach ( aljamadiscs1.free.fr ) in 2013 to release a 4 tracks EP edit of this very first album.
